Soweto man nabbed for fraud

Johannesburg - A Soweto man has been arrested for fraud in Mofolo North, Gauteng police said on Wednesday.

Police, acting on a tip-off, went to the 42-year-old man's house where the found various people's bank statements, identity documents, company payslips, Pikitup stamps and other employment documents.

He could not explain how he got hold of the documents, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubele said.

He would appear soon in the Protea Magistrate's Court on charges of fraud and possession of fraudulent documents.

    I can understand the bank statements, identity documents, company payslips ... but the Pikitup stamps? What on earth do you do with that?
