Johannesburg - The alleged 'Sunday Rapist' will testify in his trial on Monday in the High Court, sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court, Alberton.

Jaco Steyn has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, 11 of rape, 10 of sexual assault, 10 of kidnapping, one of attempted sexual assault, and one of attempted kidnapping.

Family of murdered teenager Louise de Waal attended the proceedings. They wore badges with a picture of her face.

Members of rights group Women and Men against Child Abuse were outside the court building with posters calling for Steyn to receive life in prison.

On Thursday Judge Sita Kolbe postponed the matter to Monday morning as Steyn was sick and to give the defence more time to prepare. The State closed its case on Wednesday.

The State's last witness, trauma specialist Jean de Wilde, testified on medical examinations done on the girls who were sexually assaulted. He said he found indications of vaginal penetration.
