And the legal owner of the firearm is??? Surely the owner of the firearm is as guilty in this case.

      James - 2012-10-01 13:58

Do you honestly think that there is in fact a legal owner of the firearm?

In KZN everybody has one, and they are preparations to fight for their absolute Zulu mornarchy should Msholozi loose in Mangaung.

It was most probably a firearm that a police officer had lost!

Yes, who is the owner of this firearm? Why was it not locked in a safe?

      abra.kadaver.1 - 2012-10-01 14:31

Was probably owned by a member of the SAP , who forgot it in a train, public toilet, taxi or sold it.

It was not locked in a safe, maybe because it was stolen and thus an illegal firearm #justsaying

What a horrible story - a child is dead, and another must live with the knowledge that he took his friend's life. Why on earth was the firearm so easily accessed by children? What is wrong with the adults in this case? My sympathies to the family.

Back in the day, a kid on my street took his dad's gun to show it off to his mate, an older brother of my friend. The gun somehow went off, and my mate's brother was shot in the foot. They were about 12 or 13. Boys will be boys. But parents need to make sure that their firearms are locked up and safely.

No Use Blaming the GUN Blame the stupidity of the owner you never know it might be an illegal gun
