Johannesburg - The husband of a woman who was found in bed with a 16-year-old boy, who later fell to his death from the sixth floor of a Hillbrow building, has been released, Gauteng police said on Friday.

"Police did not charge the suspect because they wanted the woman to make a statement but she declined," Constable Carol Mulamu said.

Nyasha Johwa, 16, was found naked with the 34-year-old woman in Hillbrow by the husband, according to a report in The Star. An argument reportedly ensued and the boy was found dead on the pavement.

Mulamu said the man was questioned and later released.

"Police are still investigating whether he [the boy] was pushed or if he jumped," she said.
