Teens in court for toy gun robbery

Johannesburg - Two teenagers arrested for allegedly robbing a shop in Zola, Soweto, with a toy gun appeared in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Monday, Gauteng police said.

Their case was postponed to 13 January, and they remain in custody, police spokesperson Kay Makhubela said.

On Christmas Day they allegedly pointed the toy pistol at the shop owner and took an undisclosed amount of money, prepaid airtime vouchers and cigarettes.
