Ten hurt in Boksburg crash

Johannesburg – Ten people were injured in a collision between a taxi and a bakkie in Van Dyk Road, Boksburg, on Saturday.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found that the taxi had overturned and landed on its roof. 

“Paramedics assessed the patients. The driver of the bakkie was uninjured. The taxi driver and passengers of the taxi were found to have sustained minor injuries. They were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.”

The exact cause of the collision is unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations, Bodasing said.
