Three hurt in Limpopo taxi shooting

Polokwane - Three minibus taxi drivers and a pedestrian were wounded in a shoot-out between two rival taxi groups in Apel, Polokwane, on Thursday.

"They were all taken to hospital," police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Ronel Otto said.

The injured drivers were members of the Sekhukhune Taxi Association.

"More police members have been deployed to the scene and at this stage the situation is quiet."

Otto said police patrols were being stepped up. The shoot-out happened at 06:00. No arrests had been made yet.
