Tourism trailblazer murdered in Cape Town

2012-11-23 10:00

Cape Town - A woman who is said to be a trailblazer for township tourism was brutally murdered at her Khayelitsha home.

Nobantu Ntozini, 39, also known as Vicky, was the well-known and popular owner of Vicky’s B&B in Site C, reported Die Burger.

Ntozini was stabbed to death in her bedroom by someone who was apparently well known to her.
Her five children were said to be devastated and struggling to cope with her death.

A family friend said the family was woken by screaming coming from Ntozini’s bedroom in the early hours of the Wednesday morning.

A man was found strangling Ntozini.

“I screamed at him and begged him to stop but he wouldn’t,” said the unnamed friend.

Ntozini was stabbed three times with a knife after which her attacker stabbed himself.
He was in hospital under police guard.

Head of Cape Town Tourism Mariette du Toit-Helmbold said Ntozini was a trailblazer in the field of tourism in townships.

“She was a charismatic woman, loved and respected by visitors and all in tourism. We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. You are in our thoughts.”

Another blow to SA tourism! When are these people going to realize that tourism provides jobs to many unskilled workers who would've ordinarily been sitting at home with little hope of finding a job. My condolences to Vicky's family and colleagues.

Come visit our townships! The tour will include beer with a side dish of illegal arms and rape with the sweets being murder of course! Townships should be locked down until all these idiots who rape and murder are hanged in public.

Give the furker another knife and let him finish himself off properly ! Is there doubt he is guilty?. Is this the type of person that deserves ever to walk our streets again? If he is a breadwinner, he has proved beyong doubt that he is no good to man or beast? Do the tax payers want to maintain a mutant like this which seriously is then at the expense of someone more deserving?
