Johannesburg - Three train carriages were set alight in Mlamlankunzi railway station on Wednesday night in Orlando East, Soweto, Johannesburg emergency services said.

"It is a deliberate fire, it was not by accident," spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said.

The carriages were torched while the train was in motion.

Mulaudzi said no one was hurt and fire-fighters managed to extinguish the blaze.

On Tuesday night, three carriages were also set on fire at the Merafe railway station in Soweto.

No injuries were reported as a result.

"The carriages were totally, totally burnt out. It looks like they were set alight."

It appeared that a commuter was responsible for the fire, Mulaudzi said.

The police should make it their first priority to arrest a certain mr Albert Mokoena. It would appear that they are practicing before torching the big one.

Leave the burnt out carraiges for the commuters to use. Don't replace them, don't fix them up. Let them travel in the wreck they created. Let them live like the animals they are
