Two appear for shooting Cape Town cop

Johannesburg - Two people have appeared in the Bellville Magistrate's Court for allegedly shooting a police officer in Belhar last week, it was reported on Sunday.

The SABC reported that a 28-year-old and a 33-year-old appeared in court on Friday for apparently wounding Sergeant Kevin Rogers.

Rogers, 29, was shot in the stomach on the Cape Flats last Tuesday.

He had approached three suspicious looking men when shots were fired, wounding Rogers.

He is in a stable but serious condition in ICU in hospital.
