Johannesburg - Two Ethiopians were found dead in their spaza shop in Walmer, Port Elizabeth, police said on Sunday.

Two men allegedly forced the two Ethiopians, aged 28 and 32, to lie on the floor of the shop on Saturday night, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said.

The gunmen shot both men in their chests and one man in the face. They left without taking anything.

One of the men died on the scene and the other on his way to hospital.

Labans denied that the killings were related to xenophobia and said police were investigating a double murder case.
