Durban - A spokesperson for KZN EMS, Robert Mckenzie, says two pedestrians have been killed in two separate accidents in Pietermaritzburg and Port Shepstone.

The first incident occurred on the N2 near Merlwood, which is near Port Shepstone on the KZN south coast. When paramedics arrived, they cordoned off one lane, but the woman had already passed away.

The incident in Pietermaritzburg occurred on the N3 south bound near the Church Street on-ramp.

Motorists have been urged to please be extremely cautious when driving at night and be especially vigilant for pedestrians who may be walking in the road.
