Durban - Two pedestrians were killed on the N2 in Tinley Manor, KwaZulu Natal, on Saturday afternoon when a car hit the duo before rolling.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said the woman who had been driving the car also sustained serious injuries.

“Reports from the scene indicate that the vehicle hit two pedestrians and then rolled several times, the twisted frame coming to rest on its side in the veld,” he said in a statement.

The two men both died at the scene due to their extensive injuries, Botha confirmed.

“Medics treated the female at the scene before transporting her to hospital for the care that she required.”

Authorities are investigating the incident.
