Johannesburg – Two women were killed in separate accidents in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday evening, paramedics said.

One woman, in her 20s, was killed when a bakkie carrying seven people in the back overturned on the R33 near Sevenoaks, south of Greytown, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Both said.

The bakkie rolled up an embankment. Three people were seriously injured, and four, including a 3-year-old child, sustained minor injuries.

The second woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the N2 near Murchison, west of Port Shepstone. She died on the scene.
