University embroiled in sex scandal

Pretoria - A lecturer from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has allegedly been dismissed after he was accused of demanding sex from a student in exchange for higher marks.

The Pretoria News said that the university refused to comment on the matter.

The incident happened in the department of journalism and Facebook was buzzing over the last few days with students for and against the lecturer airing their views.

The lecturer allegedly stated his intention to sleep with the student on Facebook.

When the student failed the subject, she said it was because she wouldn’t have sex with him. But the lecturer accused her of blaming him for her poor marks.

TUT spokesperson Willa de Ruyter said: “It is an internal disciplinary matter, which is still under investigation.”

I suppose she refused to do the 69 with him, so he gave her 31

Utterly despicable. Absolutley setting no example. This country's education system is in shambles especially knowing there are 'rats' like these for lecturers.

      Brett - 2012-07-19 10:03

O Please get a life! So in your opinion the lecturer is the rat? Have you been to university at all? Do you know what some girls do to pass? Don't judge. Females are not as innocent as this country's constitution allows them to be and get away with murder.

@Biker: "The lecturer allegedly stated his intention to sleep with the student on Facebook." Enough said.

@Klippies: Perhaps she was flirting with him openly, why couldn't he think something was happening. She still failed and clearly her answers on exam review reflected this.

Haha Chris, looking at your facebook profile and friends I can see where you're coming from. However, the lecturer is not allowed to sleep with his students, even though they are throwing themselves at him. It's against policy and just generally unethical.

Not that I condone the actions of the lecture,,,but students have all sort of excuses for not perfoming well in school...!

It is because of AA pressures that tertiary education is forced to employ any idiot from any country in Africa. They'll only wake up once they have messed up that level of education too as they have done with school education.

Active imagination at play, where do you get all this?
