Kimberley - A very expensive German car is at the centre of a mysterious lovers’ tiff after it was found in a Kimberley scrap yard owner-less, and severely damaged.

The white Mercedes SLK 350 has been standing abandoned at the scrap yard for months after seemingly being vandalised with a pickaxe and spray paint, Charné Kemp of Netwerk24 reported.

The fight allegedly centres on a couple who divorced last year due to infidelity, but it’s unsure whether the husband or wife was the guilty party in the affair.

According to the report, the unfaithful partner was allegedly caught in the car with another person.

Residents close to the couple, though, did say that the husband had bought the car as a gift for the wife.

On the sides of the car read the spray-painted words ‘hoer vervoer’ and ‘hoer jaer’, which roughly translates to ‘whore transport’ and ‘whore racer/hunter’ respectively.

On the boot read the words ‘effer’, which translates to ‘f**ker’, while the windscreen, and front and back lights, were smashed in.

Unfortunately for the guilty party, insurance companies will not pay out for an intentionally damaged car.

The divorced couple could not be reached for comment, as their cell phone numbers had since been changed.
