Johannesburg - The killing of a senior investigator at top auditing firm SizweNtsalubaGobodo is set to delay the probe into allegations of corruption against suspended Cosatu leader Zwelinzima Vavi.

Moepi was gunned down outside his office in Houghton, Johannesburg last month in what is believed to have been a hit.

The secretary-general of the Association of Public Accounts, Hlomani Chauke, recently said that forensic auditing was becoming an increasingly dangerous profession. He said attacks of this nature were becoming more common against people who are unravelling corruption and mismanagement of public and private money.
