Johannesburg - Water supply to Natalspruit Hospital in Katlehong has been restored, the Gauteng health department said on Monday.

Spokesperson Simon Zwane said no major disruptions occurred when a pipe burst outside the hospital last week.

"It did affect the hospital, mainly the theatres, but nothing major and no patients were discharged because of the burst.

"It was a bit of an inconvenience because the water pressure was only enough to supply the ground floor, so water to other floors had to be carried up, but now the services at the hospital are running as normal."

Zwane said water supply was restored late on Friday afternoon and by Monday all services had been restored.
