Western Cape man attacked by bull

Cape Town - A man was seriously injured on Saturday when he was attacked by a bull on a farm in Clanwilliam, in the Western Cape, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Andre Visser said the 54-year-old man sustained severe injuries to his lower body and was airlifted to hospital.

"Paramedics arrived at the scene of the incident and treated the man before rapidly transporting him to the Clanwilliam provincial hospital for treatment."

Visser said the cause of the attack was unknown.

    Henk Laing was attacked yesterday by a Buffalo from a farm next to his, Boschenbach, he was very badly injured and it took Dr's hours to save his live. We pray for Henk and his family.

      Where did this happen? I heard of a bow hunter injured bu a buffalo in the Cookhouse area last week.

    Was it a bull bull or a buffalo bull......? Buffalos are the most dangerous wild animals in Africa..... they will not stop till they have demolished their enimies. On the other hand, if it was a bull bull perhaps the farmer was trying to milk its sperm to use for artificial insemination and it objected. I hope the farmer survives. My thoughts are with his family.

      it was a buffalo bull, the wild ones, it escaped from Boschenbag reserve next to Henk's farm, near Clanwilliam in the Western Cape
