Johannesburg - A woman was killed when her car rolled several times at the Orient Crossing near Magaliesburg in the early hours of Friday morning.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 00:02, Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said in a statement.

"Upon their arrival at the scene they found that a motor vehicle went straight across at the T-junction crossing and overturned several times.

"The woman was entrapped in the vehicle and members from the Krugersdorp fire department had to make use of specialised equipment to extricate her from the vehicle," Steinmann said.

Nothing more could be done for the woman, who was in her thirties, and she was declared dead on the scene.

The exact details of the accident were unknown and would be subject to a police investigation.
