Durban - The name of the driver whom businessman Prince Sifiso Zulu blames for a fatal hit and run accident was revealed in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Zulu is accused of skipping a red robot while driving his BMW X5 and colliding with a Mitsubishi double-cab carrying members of the Soul's Harbour Ministry Church.

Two people were killed and another 10 injured in the accident on March 29 2008.

Zulu had maintained a person named Dumisani Ngcobo was driving the car at the time.

Inspector Suluman Pillay told the court that when Zulu arrived at the police station he said the driver of the car was Ngcobo.

"He told me that Dumisani Ngcobo was from Pietermaritzburg and he didn't know his address," said Pillay.

He said Zulu tried to phone Ngcobo on his cellphone but to no avail.

Zulu is facing seven charges, two of which are of culpable homicide.

The case continues.
