Zuma 'doesn't waste time' on Malema

2012-12-14 11:21

Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has said he doesn't have "time to waste" on thinking about expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema.

In an interview with The Guardian, Zuma was asked about Malema's personal attacks on him.

"I don't feel much because to me it has exposed what type of a person he is, it has exposed the depth of his politics, it has exposed to me the level of his care and love of the organisation. When he says he loves it, anyone who loves this organisation does not behave like that. I don't think I've got time to waste on such matters really," Zuma replied.

The president said he wouldn't guess on whether Malema's political career is finished, but added that this depends on how he moves. "You could have your political career continue but in a totally different way."

However, he pointed out that Malema has been expelled from the ANC.

"I'm not certain that he's doing anything for people to think expelling was not the right remedy," Zuma said.

Was this the censored version of the interview? And Zuma actually spoke? And gave an opinion?

Mr Zuma - Adriaan Basson's book Zuma Exposed tells me your depth - not in politics - but alot more ... At least Malema has a political brain and some leadership traits !!! ShowerHead !!!

      gideon.walt - 2012-12-14 12:36

"The depths of his politics" thats what the people in the "biz" call manipulation, theft, corruption, so on and so forth. Scumbags

  • jacqui.daanevanrensburg - 2012-12-14 11:36

What type of person he is?. Geez, and not so long ago the two of you were dancing on stage just after Malema slung his usual abuse towards whites. Apparently that didn't bother you at all.

  • mart.botha - 2012-12-14 11:38

Exactly what Zuma said....quote "I don't feel much because to me it has exposed what type of a person he is, it has exposed the depth of his politics, it has exposed to me the level of his care and love of the organisation.' .......and this is exactly what more and more South Africans are beginning to realise about the former organisation know as the ANC.....pretty much on point Zumba !

  • Mbuyi Mabuya Maphalala - 2012-12-14 11:42

That's why JZ was head of intelligenec of the MK, he might be home schooled but not all cadres have the perception that he is not fit enough to lead the organization.

      nic.nomicos.3 - 2012-12-14 11:54

JZ and intelligence in the same sentence....doesn't sound right somehow...

      themba.thwala.775 - 2012-12-14 12:08

Cadres who are robbing the country together with him. That is very easy to understand, hence they write speeches for him and make him think he is clever

      lionel.armstrong.77 - 2012-12-14 12:47

really chief, and where might the concept of "cadre" fit into our society?! We are not a communist country...this is supposed to be a democracy, maybe that's the whole problem here! You lot need to go back to school (not home school) and learn about democracy!!!

    Zuma what did you expect?

  • gerhard.muller.988 - 2012-12-14 11:50

"You could have your political career continue but in a totally different way." So Zuma says he can continue his career, just not with the ANC. So that leaves only one option, Malema must join the DA and fight the dictatorship of the ANC. The New South Africa, you have to love it!

      steve.gibson.146612 - 2012-12-14 12:09

The DA has more sense than to invite or allow Malema into it's ranks

  • pucksonsibusiso.gumede - 2012-12-14 11:50

Well said Mr President there is absolutely no time for you to waste on such nincompoops there are far better things for you to do, he can say whatever he wants but the fact remains that he has been expelled from the party due to ill discipline , he thought he was bigger than the party phew !

ZUMA and Malema, the cat and the fox, without Malema Zuma would not be president of South Africa, without Zuma Malema would not be rich!! Zuma kicked Malema by the ANC and now Zuma should be driven by the Presidency and the ANC. Zuma is a cancer to society free and democratic South Africa, unfortunately, over the years has produced too metastases and the new generation think that bribing and stealing its people is the right reward apartheid.
