Zuma makes water flow

2012-06-02 15:40

Pretoria - Water supply will never again be interrupted in Ngobi outside Hammanskraal, Gauteng, President Jacob Zuma said on Saturday.

"We are bringing water," he told resident Latsmatfheko Pani at her home.

Zuma was in Ngobi to check on the state of water in the area, after Pani wrote to the presidential hotline that the area has been without water for two years.

"You will have water forever," Zuma said, while opening a tap and filling up a glass.

"This water is delicious," Zuma said sipping from the glass.

Zuma was visiting the Pani family to thank her for her highlighting the plight of her community.

Zuma visited a water project and later met the community to listen to their concerns regarding service delivery.

      Hermann - 2012-06-02 17:30

Wait until normal service delivery kicks in and they will be dry again.

      rbphiri - 2012-06-02 18:46

Zuma makes water flow??? catchy headline. But doesn't anyone see the humour here...perhaps I should enlighten everyone with the term Shower head...making any sense now?

      Silindile - 2012-06-02 18:54

@RPhiri... We saw the humour, and chuckled at it. We however didn't feel the need to show every1 how smart we are for being able to do so...

      bertie.brink - 2012-06-02 21:49

Hey people stop dissing the president... he cannot do everything himself. he gave poor people water something they didnt have. Its not his fault they didnt have its the local provincial governments faults. at least he did something much more than half of you can say... ask yourself what have you done this week to make this country a better place for all! STOP BEING RACIST AND HELP EACH OTHER!

      Frederik - 2012-06-03 08:45

Fitting picture..... That is exactly what he thinks of the people of SA.......

      Koos - 2012-06-03 09:38

@bertie.brink: MMmmmmm something good to say.... mmmmmm .... aaaa got it... At least they used the word "water" and not "juices". That's good right? ... or.... Better late then never I guess.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 09:57

Bertie, well what have you done for the country this week?. Cheap talk do not count. I know of places where the people are waiting for water for years. when they protest they are shot at with rubber bullets. Strange how Zuma stay away from there.

      gailcarolynhayes - 2012-06-03 10:43

I have to say Leonard that I find it somewhat insulting to call the majority "Unwashed" given the fact that they don't have ready access to water. That is only in part Zuma's responsibility after all. With thousands of unemployed peoyouths and the money which is sitting idle it would do them no harm to advertise employment for those willing to provide the labour in exchange for enough to feed themselves by digging the necessary canals required from areas which experience flooding to those who never receive water would be a start. Like money, it isn't that we don't ever receive any rain from the skies but rather that it falls in some places too abudnantly causing damage and misery while there are people elsewhere who are suffering the same problem just from a the opposite side of the problem. There will always be uncertainties because rain is not something we control and money doesnot grow on trees nor in banks s it may have to be done in fits and starts. use the energy spent on toyi toying and burning breaking and stealing and make a difference.Leave a legacyby creating and bring life giving water to arid places. Limit the number of children who may die painfully from want of water and sustenance. Be avisionary like Martin L King and the greatest of them all Rolihlahla Mandela

      Martin - 2012-06-04 09:57

i cant wait for the water to be contaminated with sewage like the rest of us, or have the flow stop and start like the rest of us, then remember that with the anc..forever is not a very long time

  • charlesaduplessis - 2012-06-02 15:49

Damn Jokers precidency... should have been water two years ago.. and why make a promise you cannot keep?

      mastersvoice - 2012-06-02 18:48

Its the Zuma way charles. He'll promise anything to the poor, illiterate voters, who cannot see a charlatan even if he stands in front of them telling them "This water is delicious"...

      Jally - 2012-06-03 09:19

      Jan - 2012-06-02 18:06

      Irene - 2012-06-02 18:12

Jan ~ Have you been sleeping for a very long time if you don't know when Zooomer said that?

      Jan - 2012-06-02 18:42

Bomb - the harm you're doing to us white people with comments like that is irreversible - i have reported you to the authorities - soon your login wont work. Cheers.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 18:43

Irene - Im not saying he DIDNT say it - Im saying if you make statements back it up with facts! Like donald trump says Obama wasnt born in USA - but he has no facts just hot air!

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 18:48

eish!!! Utopian, why you ask so difficult question? You know I first have to establish a commision of enquiry to establish why I lied then they must come up with a new lie that I can tell the people. Once they voted me in again, I will continue to lie while I steal myself rich. You now understand. Kindest regards. Your corrupt president. Jacob, AKA THE SPEAR ZOOMER

      Jan - 2012-06-02 18:56

Nicolaas - I am white - but not a racist and I happen hav two degrees. But I digress. By the way nice car MDR 1 - WP

      Irene - 2012-06-02 19:05

      Diana - 2012-06-02 20:01

@Jan : let me reveal the simple truth: all humans are either racists or b.. excuse my french.. liars. What are you?

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:09

Unfortunately Jan we have Extremist on both sides...Fact . Even I have grown use to this phenomenon.

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 20:11

@DOMJAN, having 2 degrees means nothing if you do not have the logic that goes with it! Thanks for the compliment on the car. You see, I only have diplomas, not degrees but having logic has made it possible to own this car, and it is paid off! Fyi, I am a working man, working outside my country due to your corrupt ALL NATIONAL CRIMINAL PARTY AA/BEE / ZEE policies! How do you know that I am racist if you have not met me, not converse with me about my political views or my general opinion about South Africa and what is currently happening in our country? Y ou really call me scum? As the word goes, it takes one to recognise the other. For the record, you are a disgrace to the white population of South Africa!

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:12

Diana - maybe the low life humans u associate with are racists or liars. When i see my own kind being racist i CONDEMN That behavior there and then. You should do the same then we can live in peace and go forward in this country. People like you create divisions that make black people continue to vote for a corrupt government and not for Zille or Patricia de lille because they would rather have a corrupt government that risk voting for a so called white party and returning to the days of apatheid. Looking at your and other comments from my so fellow whites here can you blame them for continually voting ANC?

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:22

Nicolaas Im sorry you have to work outside the country - you miss my point - as jesus said an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind ....carrying this hatred for an ENTIRE people bcos some of them are corrupt and ruining this country is not going to help our cause. We need to embrace black people and when they are no longer afraid of us they will change their voting habits - for them a corrupt black govt is better than a DA govt with racist whites who may again try to dominate black people - that hows the avg black sees it.

      Irene - 2012-06-02 20:31

Jan ~ Better to be true to yourself than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Diane ~ He falls into the 'liar' category.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:35

Irene - if wanting to take my country forward and make it successful and lower crime levels and increase peace makes me a liar then so be it. It seems like u've given up already - so book your flight to adelaide - the grass is not always greener on the other side. goodluck

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:43

tienie.mac - what exactly dont you agree with me on? State specifics cos otherwise ek think that you are just racist.

      bertie.brink - 2012-06-02 21:06

Give that man a bells @Utopian

      Diana - 2012-06-02 21:08

@Jan If you really tried to follow all of my comments on this news site i doubt you ever would find a single one where i was condemning a person because of the color of his skin. Anyhow i think i am not worthy of such an extensive statement. Save your eloquence for someone else.

      Jack - 2012-06-02 21:10

'Ol Jan is to chicken to have a message on his face book. Well done, boy.

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 21:12

@DOMJAN, you see why I said you do not know me? it is not the fact that I have to work outside my own country. Your talking about embracing the black people. Well I tried, making friends, treating them like my own family, even learned their language to embrace them and you know what happened? Those same were the ones that hi-jacked me and nearly killed me for a mere R 100.00!!!!!!!!! To top it all, they were known to me and those that were with me, refuse to testify in a court of law! So if you want to enbrace them, you do it at your own peril, believe me, they will not think twice to murder you, why, because to them you are still a white man, irrespective of what your believe are! For the record, I am not a racist, I am just more comfortable with my own group, it is called freedom of association, as a educated medical professional, I found it strange that you have not heard of such term!

      Jan - 2012-06-02 21:36

Nicolaas - you cant hate all black people just bcos the few you associated with hurt u. Im not saying invite all black people to your house. Im saying associate with who you feel comfortable with but dont carry any hate - it destroys u - negativity only attracts more negativity. The law of gravity does not care if u are a good person or a bad person - same with the law of negativity. Peace be to you. I hope some day you will overcome your hatred. Ps. i have also been a victim of crime at the hands of a black person, but i've also had white people steal from me.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:00

Jan, if you don't know what Zuma said and promised, you are either short of memory or not a news follower. No one has to provide you with proof of what Zuma said when he became President. Everyone with half a brain remembers.

      Jan - 2012-06-03 12:00

Jacqui - i know he made promises but if he promised 20 000 and to say he promised 500 000 without proof of where he made that statement is not factual its assumption. If youre an academic you cant say aspirin cures headaches without quoting proof on who researched it and the evidence. Anyway i digress , you found it important to condemn me for asking for a reliable source but you conveniently forget to condemn nicolaas et al for their racism? You must be a great human being...NEE!

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 16:36

People are delusional regarding RSA past. Yes everything got done in the old RSA however we are not maintaining 8 million anymore we are catering to 50 million. It takes time to address the past Regime's legacy. All will be done in good time.......75 years so for 18 years we have progressed considering all the funds removed from the Economy in 1994 by the scared Western Investors. Yet they are back again ( Barclays Now ABSA). It took 8 years ( 1994-2002) to get back to the same GDP ( 116 US Billion) In the Eight years from 2002 -2010 our GDP tripled to 363 US Billion. Funds are now available to upgrade more of the disadvantaged people. At the end of the day , International Indices do NOT lie.

      mastersvoice - 2012-06-02 17:20

International Indices? How about ratings? Our economic outlook is being downgraded regularly, thanks to inept leadership and corruption!

      Dee - 2012-06-02 17:44

I respect you efforts at trying. Please consider broadening your thinking and economic projections at e.g. Business Day site. You may get a good perspective on qualified analyst concern over e.g. recent past growth stimulus coming mainly from govt/state employment - and after the slight stimulus of more govt employee expenditure is over ...where does it come from after that. And on point of this article - I wonder what happened to the municipal funds over the preceeding 2 years? Can this economy recover those 'maladministered' funds?

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 17:47

If you owned a Business then you would realize that It's only the bottom line that matters. The West has ensured that RSA and Africa as a whole remained Third world. The plundered and Pillaged , Installed Dictators once they realized they can't own the World. They continue to de-stabalize Africa via Markets and devaluing of our Currencies. This is done to ensure that when they come shopping here that it is as cheap as chips for them. BRICS will ensure a new world order.

      mastersvoice - 2012-06-02 18:08

Not the West Tamaranui - the current leadership! African politics does not heed care for its own people - if YOU owned a business, you'd soon realize that insane labour laws, BEE and AA are strangling economic growth in SA! then there's the idiotic ANCYL threatening land grabs and the threat of Nationalizing the mines! This is not the West, this is our very own home-grown imbeciles, who are non the wiser because their Matric isn't worth the paper its written on! When we recruit, we cannot go by tertiary qualification alone any more, because Universities and Technikons are forced to pass "previously disadvantaged" students! Our productivity is laughable, thanks to a government that is ham-strung by unions! Wake up Tamaranui - Jacob Zuma and his cronies are milking this economy dry, while we're all too pleased if the "water is delicious"...

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 18:09

Dee, You are Old enough to realize that corruption , all matters of crimes etc. existed in RSA before Democracy. In fact we paid taxes to a Neo Nazi Regime and never knew where the Money went. Did you know what went on in the Government during this Dark days of RSA history ? No you don't , What the Government did was locked tighter that teh proverbial. Now in this Democracy we have proper freedom and total disclosure. Please don't be so Naive to think these corrupt acts never existed pre 94.

      mastersvoice - 2012-06-02 18:11

Ah well Tamaranui - that makes corruption OK then. If the apartheid regime could do it, so can we, eh?

      nettie.potgieter.5 - 2012-06-02 18:13

I am married you stupit person so I have no intress in your personal live. I have a battle of more than 2years to get water to our comunity. The infrastrukture is there but no water. ANC counselor and munisipality have no feelings for the poor and the old. I bet you have never been in a low costing settelment in KZN to see the human suffering.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 18:20

MV, An expected response however despite the stories of gloom, we as a country continue to progress in the right direction. My only suggestion to you is de-personalize the approach and look at the big picture from an holistic view. Millions more now have Education and better Infrastructure and many Millions to go.Millions have Homes and better Opportunities and many Millions to go. For every failure there are thousands successes that are never reported as this is Not newsworthy. The fact that we are able to complete this very discussion is evidence that we live a good live. Millions of People,Activities and transactions etc. etc. etc. have to be successful everyday to ensure this country remains viable.

By the way Irene - I am white but not a racist - I try my best to show black people that not ALL whites are racist and not to hate all whites becos of a few pathetic whites like you who cause my harm to white people than black criminals through comments they make without thinking the harm it may cause!

      Irene - 2012-06-02 19:09

Tamaranui ~ What a joke you are. The reason you are continually banned is because you're a racist of note as well as a sh1t stirrer like you new pal, Jan. Both of you are obviously very 'little' males (note male and not men). Shame!

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 19:28

Irene...hehhhehehheeee. Is that your new word for the night.....Little. Seems to utilized excessively tonight.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 19:37

I have actually noticed a similarity in the writing style between Tamaranui and Jan. Easy to create a alter Ego hay Tamaranui?

      Jan - 2012-06-02 19:47

Charnelle - Im not Tamaranui - i could say the same for you and Irene.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 19:49

How many can be.....Now Jan, then Tsotsi then Bluzulu then BlondeZulu then...the list goes on and on..... I'm Victor Tamaranui

      Irene - 2012-06-02 19:56

@Charnelle ~ Funnily enough I thought that too but they're not the same person. Both pathetic but different people. The one is Vinesh Naidoo and Jan is an Afrikaner who is ashamed of who he is. You can tell by the grammar ie. Jan uses 'mnr' for 'mr'. Why on earth he uses 'mnr' before the name Zooomer is beyond understanding.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:14

hehehehehheheehe.....Snyman hey....hehhehehehehheee Does Andre know about your Buthelezi Hubby ???

      Irene - 2012-06-02 20:16

Yes Vinesh and I'm the queen.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:20

      @Irene, 100% agreed.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:22

My Tamaranui and Jan fro people with degrees you sure have a very chauvinistic approach towards females commenting on articles. For obvious reasons you would go and use sexual annotiations, typical, very typical. Im sure your King Zuma is very proud of you.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:31

Charnelle - show me one comment where i was chauvinistic?

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:38

@Domjan Show me one comment where I was racist.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:42

Woman are equal to a Man in every sense Chanelle....I am NO chauvinists, Just ask my wife of 18 years

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:53

Tamaranui - agree with you on that!

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 21:29

Tamaranui, I assume that being a Zuma supporter you probably have more then one wife?? Which one should I ask?

      Jan - 2012-06-02 21:38

Charnelle - there u go with your racist tendencies - Mr Derek Hanekom a WHITE man is a Zuma supporter - does he also have many wives?

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 22:13

thandazab - has a problem with ZUMA, he is a black man, who has a problem with a black man, what does that make him? A white supremist? I have a problem with you JAN who vomits a race card each and every time a white person has a problem with a black man who disregards the sacntity of marriage, who was accused of RAPE and who has done sweet f-all for his country, he earns 2.3 Million and his people live in poverty, he took advantage of the poor to enrich himself. DOES THAT MAKE ME A RACIST? Just as much as you contradicting me makes you a sexist, you obviously have a problem with woman. CAN You SEE The SIMILARITIES HERE.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 22:22

Charnelle - i have no problem with women - its seems you have a chip on your shoulder that whenever a man challenges u you think hes sexist. I have no problem with independent successful or even powerful women - just hate the covert racists who think they are better than others just bcos of their white

      Jan - 2012-06-02 22:28

Charnelle - I've just read your article "A lesson from our three year old" - I guess you arent really a racist - all im saying is we cant hate an entire people just bcos some of them are corrupt - I desperately want the DA (or any competent opposition party) to win more votes in the next election and the only way we can get black people to stop voting ANC is to eradicate the fear they have of again returning to white domination. We need to reach a stage where race does not matter to them, fear of the white man taking over and making them slaves again does not matter to them. This is the stage we need to reach.

      russell.w.wright.5 - 2012-06-03 01:30

Indices only reflect the information fed into them. Any information coming out of the ANC should be viewed with a healthy amount of sceptisism as we all know by now the ANC cannot be trusted further than we can throw the never to be completed Elephant sculpture of Durban. Which... even in it's half completed state is about as far as your viewpoint out of your blinkers.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:16

Jan, you remind me of those white liberal South Africans I met from time to time during exile. They were all against apartheid and when I asked them what they were doing against the system they couldn't tell me. You are eightteen years too late because when you could have made a difference you kept quiet and did nothing.Instead of spreading your holier than tho' bull here, go help at the local food kitchen and buy blankets for the homeless. Otherwise just stay quiet,I am not interested in your liberal crap. I have earned the right to speak.

      Jan - 2012-06-03 12:03

Jacqui - I do PLENTY of charity and thats how I have the ability to interact with different races without prejudice. You dont know me or the work I do - I've used bucket system toilets whilst helping kids suffering. So shooosh!

      balan.morgen - 2012-06-03 12:31

@Tamaranui you shut the F##kup, you are one of the thieves within the anc.

      Jan - 2012-06-03 14:52

Balan Morgen - I wonder what your employer Transnet (govt owned) would think of your ramblings about the govt? I think I should send them a mail to haul you in...People like u will destroy this country and allow the ANC to rule forever. We need positive thinking people like Tam not negativity spreaders like u

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 17:17

      Sensitivity overload,

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 17:32

Adrian, careful, Tamaranui HATES white people very very very very much. Take no offence to him, he likes to get up close and personal!!

      Jan - 2012-06-02 18:20

I've read some of Tamaranui's comments and most of them makes sense. The only people I see taking offence are the RACISTS among us who cannot accept that he speaks to truth in MOST cases. Like the fact that apartheid only maintained 8 million people and now we have 50 million people to maintain we cannot expect perfection OVERNIGHT. I agree our government is largely corrupt - but as Tamaranui said its the legacy of apartheid and this is a fact. As long as white people come on here and type hurtful comments against black people - it will only cause black people to hate white people and slow the chances of them voting for a socalled white party like the DA - out of fear of returning to white domination judging from the comments here by white people.

  • Rhyno - 2012-06-02 16:27

The place didn't have water for two years. That means there was water at the time Zuma took the Presedency. Nothing to hoot about then, as he just needed to correct what he screwed up in the first place. Whoop dee doo prez! A plumber could have done the same thing you did. So whats the achievement here?

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 16:46

      People currently have water.

      bertie.brink - 2012-06-02 21:10

@ Tamaranui yeah they have water after so many years wow what great service delivery.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:26

They had a problem with their water being full of poison or was it acid water from the mines?. Another disaster waiting to happen, all this acid mine water witn nothing being done about it. I suppose they will wake upo when half of Jo'burg collapse on top of them. Just think of the damage done to the rivers that so many people depend on, not forgetting the wild life who lives and drink there. HELP

  • Kabelo Baloyi - 2012-06-02 17:21

some of u people are being very irrational, Zuma cannot no everything that happens in SA and act on it immediately, Rome was not build in 1 day, hate it or love it, he is SA's president, but that does not make him super human. BIG UPs to Zuma, u doing a great job and 2 all the haters, disrespecting idiots, stop being narrow minded and F U

      tumelo.mabua - 2012-06-02 18:10

And that's why we have local and provincial government, so that people closest to the problems can rectify them. Its unrealistic for president to visit all the places that have problems of any sort. Local government must be held accountable!

      farmfreund - 2012-06-02 18:59

Kabelo Baloyi - you are dead right mate Romo was not build in 1 day it took generations , but South Africa was destroyed in less than 20 years,

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:04

farmfreund - the apartheid government used 99% of taxes collected from ALL RACE groups for the WHITE population ONLY. In democracy it doesnt work that way - so the luxuries once enjoyed by my forebears can obviously no longer be sustained when government has to use money EQUALLY amongst race groups.

      Irene - 2012-06-02 20:35

Jan ~ 'all race groups'. Now that's interesting! What tax did the majority pay pre-94?

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:44

Most of the Tax , Irene.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:55

Irene - there was something called GST = general sales tax. Blacks (i.e. colords, indians and some blacks) did hold jobs in which they paid EMPLOYMENT TAX.

      Irene - 2012-06-02 20:57

Oh! Sorry I forgot that they had jobs in those days, unlike the present.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 21:06

Irene, GST is Tax , Now it's called vat. PAYE is tax.......... Rates is Tax........... Fuel is Taxed.......... Do you see how every Individual is and has been paying Tax.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 21:15

Irene - i give up on racist negative people like you but i wont give up on this country.

      Irene - 2012-06-02 21:24

Tammy ~ VAT - we ALL pay if we buy something. Rates - what percentage of the majority pay rates? PAYE - what percentage of the majority pay this? Fuel - what percentage of the majority have their own cars? Then I ask - what percentage of the tax paying public receive the benefits of their tax and what percentage of freeloaders are the recipients of this tax? There might be fewer freeloaders demanding grants etc. if there were more jobs. Why aren't there more jobs? Because of the cANCer's labour laws. I certainly won't employ any more staff under the current laws. I also don't see any huge investments coming into SA with the cANCer's policies and continual threats of nationalisation or for international companies to be dicktated to as to who they will and will not employ. If everybody paid their fair share of ALL taxes ie. the same percentage from rich to poor, you might find the corrupt cANCer might have even more revenue to steal. And now I have better things to do so I'll leave you to your delusional little world.

      Jan - 2012-06-02 21:43

"Fuel - what percentage of the majority have their own cars? " Do you think they fly to work? They taxis, buses which pay fuel tax and which they pay fares to travel in.

      russell.w.wright.5 - 2012-06-03 01:56

Indeed rates are a form of tax but your property has to be worth more than R250 000 or you dont pay rates. Same with water...first 9kl are free for those whose properties are valued under 250k. Income tax? you know those earning under a certain amount don't pay income tax at all. Fuel is taxed as well of course but as you probably have realised by now most of those earning under the level dont drive. Anything. So Tammy old chum it is, or should, be quite obvious that the folk paying 90% of tax make up a minute portion of the working population, around 5 million or so, and it is that percentage that supports the majority including the 15 odd million that don't work and rely on government handouts. 5 million people supporting 45 million? the maths Tammy. Even outcomes based maths should give you a rough idea that it will not work, cannot work for very long...added to that fact is the amount stolen by government ministers and the vast amounts spent on completely unnecessary projects. Like buying submarines the navy can't operate as they many of those subs actually spend any time on patrol Tammy?...Is that sub still out of order on up on blocks because some incompetent nummy connected its external power supply to a/c instead of d/c?....How many of those frigates actually do much more than float at the quayside?....How many trained pilots do we have to fly those extremely expensive and complicated fighter jets?....which by now, Tammy, are obsolete.

      russell.w.wright.5 - 2012-06-03 02:17

Oh yes TamTam...those overseas trips by government ministers who take their entire families along at tax payers expense to visit Euro Disney? How about we buy a new Presidential jet with all that lovely tax money after all nobody else needs it huh Tammy?....and then when El Presidente uses it to go shopping in Amerika well use another jet to shadow the first one. Oh and lets not forget that all government ministers need housing and transport....and of course we couldn't expect them to be driven around in anything or live in anything that costs less than the entire budgets of some small African countries. And their brats...including the illegitimate ones... should all be educated but not at model C schools of no no....we can't have that....they must all go to private schools....really expensive private schools that have all the best teachers and equipment. Teachers that used to work at model C schools but left due to all the racism and politics that made it impossible for them to work at model C's. The same situation exists with every single government department doesn't it TamTam? Did I mention the millions of incredibly talented and experienced folk that have simply up and left for other countries taking their knowledge and tax money with them? Bearing evrything in mind TamTam how long do you think we can go on for before it all comes crumbling down around our ears? The more government ministers steal and waste the less there is for what we need.

      russell.w.wright.5 - 2012-06-03 02:27

it is beyond belief that we still have people living in shacks and defecating in the bushes. It is beyond belief we still have people without running water and electricity while government ministers and their families live in the lap of stolen luxury and using the money that should have been spent on infrastrucure for their own selfish needs. How many years does it take to run a water pipe?.....18 years?.....Zuma had the road to his homestead tarred pretty darn quickly didn't he Tammy?....government ministers seem to have no trouble getting their grubby, sticky hands on what they want when they want it huh Tammy? Wake up and smell the sweet stench of corruption which permeates every strata of South African society from the president all the way down.

      russell.w.wright.5 - 2012-06-03 02:33

You cannot create wealth by dividing somebody else's Tamaruinee.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-03 08:34

This pseudo attitude of ""Crusaders on their horses saving us from ourselves"" is delusional at best. We have to work together , exchange skills and share in the abundant wealth in RSA. First item, Change the attitude. The fact is the Black proportion of Tax payments has more than doubled since 1994 hence we are all active in progressing RSA via these funds. All countries have overseas visits etc. etc. etc. Believe it or not this happened in the Old Regime as well. Just one Example...What did ""Tuinhuis"" cost for the D.f's and the P.w's to live in. Come on Detractors change the Mantra for RSA to progress. The majority of all RSA cultures are working to a better life. Try it , Life would triple in value.........

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:28

let me explain to cannot give something for free without first taking it from someone else.there is no free in life. let me guess, you are one of those that really believes that when it says,"buy one, get one free", you actually believe you get it for free?...haaaaaaahahha, nothing is free my friend, you take away to give. to give water in this area means they prob had to redirect water from somewhere else, ....hahahaha, get the message grommit??? its election year, the masters are out playing the puppets..hahaha

Jip, its election year!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha, Zuma said FOUR years ago.."We will create 500 000 jobs" between the lines!!!!!

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 19:19

@BOMB, that 500 000 was not for his stupid suppotas! It was for his cadres that helped him ousted Mbeki!

      raymond.abrahamse - 2012-06-03 08:55

Mmm..yes.. after World War 3.How does one create work if there IS no work? Where do these people get this type of mentality from, and sad thing is,his people believe him,And He believes his own lies because cannot and will not happen.

  • Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 18:44

Are these residents sure that they will have water for-ever. I know that not from now, it will be cut off as their municipality will not be able to pay the bill! They should also have checked if it was indeed water that ZOOMER was sipping, and not champagne that was handed to him in the glass and fooling the residents by opening the tap. Or maybe this water is coming from the farmers dam just outside town from where they have layed the pipes during the night!

  • farmfreund - 2012-06-02 18:56

And on the 8th day Zuma said let there be water!

      JohncarlosBiza - 2012-06-02 18:57

      More like 8th year

  • Gerald Jordaan - 2012-06-02 19:03

Did Zoomer use peckerspear of showerd*ck to make water flow?

  • Charnelle - 2012-06-02 19:08

@Jan are you by any chance getting some self gratification of exposing people the way you are doing? Bit of a bully then hay Jan Van Rensburg with your medical doctor's degree and all.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 19:27

Are you a patriot Tamaranui? Are you? Really. Did you make thourough use of our Education system by any chance? Im finding it really hard to take you seriously. Tell me Tamaranui, what has Zuma done for us? He made a fool of himself and the ANC! I do not uphold his values as a president in any shape way or form. He is a laughing stock to his people! You and your friend Jan are the ones taking things personally everytime someone voices their opinion up to the point where your counter judgement just proves how under evolved you really are. Zuma is a moron, yet he replaced a much more respectable president, Mbeki. No wonder the YL is heading towards Ntlantle. Really now, I am dissapointed that you immediately spew up the Race card. I expect more from a well educated man such as yourself. Surely you of all people should value the right of people to voice their opinion without the personal attack and your friend Jan's method of naming and shaming, what exactely is he trying to do? If you take things so personally go write a article on being an emotional retard.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 19:41

Actually my Tertiary Education was Overseas however I earned my bursary via my the Old Model C RSA education, Thanks. Regarding your thoughts on the President , It is quite clear you have your Bias perspective, I see all the good that has been done and continues today. Detractors are allowed their view...never be ashamed of what you's are, This is a Democracy.

      Hadebe - 2012-06-02 19:42

Charnelle i nearly asked for your dipits, but after this, no thanxs, maybe mugabe can have them, me? No.

      Tax - 2012-06-02 19:45

Hadebe I doubt Charnelle would ever give you her digits so stop dreaming. Tamaranaai Nigeria is not considered to be overseas.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 19:50

Tamaranui, again a contradiction, I thought you never had the opportunity to education? Stick to one side of the debate.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 19:53

Taxi,,, I'm sure there ain't a Stanford in Nigeria to confuse you hence this is just another personal attack. Are you in any way in the Medical fraternity ????

      Hadebe - 2012-06-02 20:02

Tax, hw do u knw? Are u guys frm da same driepotkie?

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 20:25

@Charnelle, you want to tell me DOMJAN is a medical doctor! I will rather go see a sangoma that let an idiot like him diagnose and treat me for illness! I wonder if he was ALL NATIONAL CRIMINAL PARTY sponsored or did he obtain his degree during apartheid, and now with a new corrupt govament in place, he suddenly becomes a liberal! I think he and his sister TAMARA are the worst racist people you can get, then they come and pretend here on N24 but yet they are not womanly enough to show their real faces. Faceless rubbish they are!

      Tax - 2012-06-02 20:37

Jan is a doctor? Perhaps a proctologist?

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:44

@Nicholaas, well seeing that he went out of his way to expose Irene and her husband, for reasons unknown, i took the time to have a look at his profile. HE only has 3 friends, which makes me wonder, if his profile is real..

      Jan - 2012-06-02 20:59

Charnelle - Ihave more than 3 friends on my profile - in fact i dont think any of them are visible to the public. So not sure how ur seeing 3 of them.

      Irene - 2012-06-02 20:59

Charnelle ~ ROTFLMAO! Expose me and my husband? Hehehehe. I'm not stupid enough to be married! It was simply a link that I subscribe to. Toooo funny.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 21:08

Irene....Now backtracking...heheehhehe Where is the Mob tonight Kieran ???

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 21:10

Phew Irene, was a bit worried there. Thank heavens, so it just proves that these two would stoop to any level. Ah well.

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-02 21:38

@Charnelle, you mean the donkey, dog and father xmas are all the friends DOMJAN could make his entire miserable life so far! Did you perhaps missed the 4th one, his imaginary friend that only exist in his mind. Jan, please tell us how many real human friends you really have?

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:34

Charnelle, you are not going to tell me this troll has the same family name as mine?. Now I know why he never did anything when apartheid bloomed, my lot didn't either.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:38

Tamaranui lived a loveley life in New Zealand and now lives here, enjoying his handsome pension, giving him all the time to troll here. Like most of the liberals he never lifted a finger under the old regime. Now he tries to make up with boring stuff.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-03 11:28

Huh, I worked hard for 13 years, I owned and ran two successful companies completing maintenance for HNZ (Housing New Zealand in Auckland). I cashed the chips and came home. I assure you that living away from home for 13 years is extremely difficult. I now have a blue print as to where RSA society needs to be. People in NZ respect one another heaps. They celebrate their different cultures , They work together sharing skills and good times. Life in New Zealand is Utopia to be fair. It's like the Movies where People are actually living their lives doing what they want within the Law obviously. Here is RSA , Life is much much different.

      Jan - 2012-06-03 12:07

Tamaranui - I think the difference between these people and us is that they are all COMPLAINERS, WHINERS and have no solution. We on the other hand want to make a difference and find solutions to take our country towards greatness. I say quite simply - if you want to be part of the problem then please pack your bags and go dont stay here and give negativity to people who are willing to make huge sacrifices to make this country work! Cheer tam.

      Irene - 2012-06-03 13:43

@Tamarunui ~ Funny that's exactly what Vinesh Naidoo did and yet you try and deny that you are NOT bluzulu posting under different names because you've been banned. This alone is proof that anything and anyone connected to the cANCer are nothing but liars. Sorry pal, but you've just blown all credibility out the water. A liar will ALWAYS be caught out. You have and the day is coming with the anc is exposed for the filth that is as well.

      Jan - 2012-06-03 14:55

Irene STeyn - I dont think Tam is an ANC supporter or sympathiser and neither am I - if thats what you think then clearly you have missed the point and are delusional!

      Irene - 2012-06-03 17:25

@Jan ~ OMG! And you're a doctor? I thought doctors were supposed to be bright? How did you manage? Tamaranui, not an ANC supporter? FFS! READ his comments and take off your silly little rose-tinted unrealistic glasses. Wake up man!!!!

  • Diana - 2012-06-02 19:16

I wonder if it doesnt flow straight out of his miraculous shower. If so it should be recognized as the 8th wonder of the world.

  • Bless Boswell - 2012-06-02 19:17

Just one question: why now, after 2 years? Because there is an election soon? The councillor for that area should have been aware of the problem, and done something about it a very long time ago. I am glad for the residents, but not impressed.

      Hadebe - 2012-06-02 19:34

Who a u to want to b impressed by an organisation u didnt vote for?

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 19:43

      @Hadebe = Who a u?

      Hadebe - 2012-06-02 19:56

Charnelle shame, u want to knw me? Pity m married, but hey thanx for the offer.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:11

@Hadebe, you chauvinistic swine. Typical. Read your previous comment you moron.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:18

hahahahahaha....Hadebe...... Why is Charnelle free on a Saturday Night anyway ???

      Bless Boswell - 2012-06-02 20:27

Hadebe, how is it you care so little about your people? Do you not care that they have had no water for 2 years? I pointed out that their councillor should have seen to it long ago. You obviously are impressed - how easily you are fooled by your wonderful president.

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 20:28

Funny that the predominant counter arguments against Zuma is from you, Jan and your sexist pig Hadebe. Perhaps thats why you defend a rapist so strongly, you share something in common. Gotto Laugh.

      Hadebe - 2012-06-03 02:52

Tamaranui, no sane man will want to be seen arround with charnelle, only imbeciles like tax will ask her out.

      Hadebe - 2012-06-03 03:00

      Hadebe - 2012-06-03 03:07

Charnelle y must i read my previous comment? U read it yoself if u like it dat much, thats the only closer ul ever come to me.

      Matthew Patrick - 2012-06-03 07:28

Hadebe, you must be trolling, right?

      Jacqui - 2012-06-03 10:41

Hadebe how do you know who we voted for?. Why do you people all think you are visionaries?.

  • Kerri- - 2012-06-02 19:28

Ah so he is capable of doing things to fix the problems. Now if only he had done this from the beginning and not just when elections are getting closer.

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 19:42

You forget the 1000's of successes naturally to make this comment.

  • ziphok1 - 2012-06-02 19:44

Good and lovely people i know you hate the man, but I will ask you to get use to him. By the looks of things the man is going for a second term. And the worst thing is there is nothing you can do about it.

      Kwena - 2012-06-02 20:20

his time will come and he will go down the history as the worst press ever

      ziphok1 - 2012-06-03 05:10

You guys are really funny. I'm not saying I want him to get a second term. I don't understand how hating the man will help you or the country. In fact who ever win, you sheep's will still vote for ANC. Nothing will change. And ANC will bring no change it doesn't matter who will be in changer. SA wake up!!

      Charnelle - 2012-06-03 09:12

      Ziphok1, you have a point.

  • Mabutho - 2012-06-02 20:09

    I love u Zuma

      Tamaranui - 2012-06-02 20:23

      We love you President ...........

      raymond.abrahamse - 2012-06-03 08:46

You love him because you think like him-you both have a BMM-can't think yourself-someone has to think for you.

      Nicolaas - 2012-06-03 19:25

@TAMARA, Now I understand what Manyi meant when he said that the indians negotiated their way up, your negotiated yours straight up their ass, but i bet you still support the minority front in KZN too! @DOMJAN, I did some checks and you, your degrees are suspect, they were all achieved at the NIS ( NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR IDIOTS), your degrees consists of CERTIFICATE OF INCOMPETENCE IN MEDICAL PRACTISE. To all patients of DOMJAN, please let your medical aids do investigations into his charges for service rendered?

  • Cuanita Gevers - 2012-06-02 20:09

Most ppl use Index finger to position glasses. Middle finger has a very special meaning to audience and followers... Ha ha ha!! Zuma is telling the whole country to go ..... F T S ... How funny is that?

  • logen.naidoo - 2012-06-02 20:16

      raymond.abrahamse - 2012-06-03 08:43

      Charnelle - 2012-06-02 21:05
