Zuma visits Mandela in hospital

2012-12-09 14:04

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma on Sunday morning visited former President Nelson Mandela at a Pretoria hospital.

Madiba was admitted on Saturday for medical attention.

He found him comfortable, and in good care.

The presidency continued to appeal to the media and the public to respect the privacy of Madiba and his family.

He had to go explain why the million rand has not been paid back yet.

      joe.smit.549 - 2012-12-09 14:18

Or wondering if he could possibly get another million!

      andre.vandeventer.16 - 2012-12-09 14:56

Why don't the press say that Mandela was not admitted to 1 Military hospital? he is no god although people make him out to be. A previous article states that he is still very active in public life. If that is so I blame him for not criticizing the government for failing to tackle corruption and not taking issue with all the farm murders and murders of citizens, especially the cruel murders of Whites. It proves that he is too still fighting the struggle!

      jamesedmundbird - 2012-12-09 15:42

      21/12/12...Just saying

      Ollie - 2012-12-09 15:44

Or whether he will still be around come next election so they can parade him around and feed off his legacy.

      keith.ngobeni - 2012-12-09 15:44

@Andre, don't be so naive, honestly what do you want to hear from a 94yrs old frail and dying man who whatsoever has even lost a memory that he was once a president of this country, surely if you do not have anything to say please don't abuse the keyboard by typing your nonsense, take your grievances to the people who are in charge of our current affairs and leave the old man to enjoy his last moment of his life in this world.

  • mvuleni.gibizizwe - 2012-12-09 14:15

SharonE do you fumigate you house each time a black person visits your house

      matieu.tzouves - 2012-12-09 14:35

Why are you turning this into a racist issue? I would also fumigate any room that the "Cockroach Chief Tsotsi" Zuma visited; it has nothing to do with Zuma being black and everything to do with the type of person he is. Get a life bud and stop bring the racist card out at every opportunity.

      sharon.erwin.96 - 2012-12-09 15:45

I did not generalise, dbo, I was very specific. I have had many black people visit my house, and have made every one of them feel welcome.

      Sibusiso - 2012-12-09 15:52

The most important difference between SA in Zim is that Black people over there do things themselves. They don't give a damn about why people. That is why, to them ,white people's opinions don't matter. Why don't we do the same here?Do our own thing ,achieve economic independence by establishing black- owned and supported businesses etc so that we don't worry about what white people say and think about us.Remember ,the racist colonial system that supported them is no more.Let's cast aside corrupt leaders and vote in those that really mean business when it comes to black aspirations. The Afrikaners did it in 1948.

      charnelle.bester - 2012-12-09 16:51

Sibosiso, that is a great idea!! Lets bring back apartheid!!!

  • Big_guy - 2012-12-09 14:22

  • kortbroek.duplessis - 2012-12-09 14:37

What a farce. Visiting Mandela in hopital while he craps on Mandela's legacy and dream and making a laughing stock out of SA. Don't know how this "president" can claim to represent the people of South Africa. What a disgrace

  • dbo.kacebisa - 2012-12-09 14:39

  • nettie.potgieter.5 - 2012-12-09 15:26

If Mandela passed away in a hospital far from his housem I hope he will haunt the people who took him away from his house. Why can't they leave him in peace at his home where he is happy? All this raz-me-taz is only to satisfy everbody els but Mandela.

As much as we respect the privacy of the Mandela family as the Presidency spokesman plead we should do,we also care about the health of the former president Mandela whenever its mentioned that he's in hospital we pray to GOD to save his life, his well being is the worlds concern and South Africans in particular

      werner.schyns.9 - 2012-12-09 16:34

Mandela a great man and diplomat. All within the ANC idolise him but not one member has bothered to learn something from him?

  • mbambo.shi - 2012-12-09 16:28

  • mbambo.shi - 2012-12-09 17:40

They shouldn't have let this moron visit Mandela. He's actually gonna escalate Madiba's Old-Age Stress, which will then TRIP the old man's CB. Zuma screwed the good work done by Mandela and Mbeki, as a State President.

  • TattooHunter - 2012-12-09 18:03

mabambo.shi your comment makes no sense please elaborate. ..

  • TattooHunter - 2012-12-09 18:06
