Zuma's lawyers: Fraud and corruption case dead and buried

Cape Town – President Jacob Zuma’s lawyers have said that the fraud and corruption case against him is dead and buried because the NPA formally withdrew all charges against him, and that the NPA can’t be forced to revive the prosecution, according to a report on eNCA.

They called the DA’s court action against Zuma a pointless abuse of process designed to score political points.

According to eNCA, the DA has challenged the former head of the prosecution, Mokotedi Mpshe’s, 2009 decision to drop all charges against Zuma.

The NPA formally withdrew all the charges against Zuma after Mpshe’s announced his decision.
