Durban – An alleged road rage incident led to a man being shot in the leg on Fairways Road, Durban North, security officials said on Monday.

Speaking to News24 Marshall Security spokesperson Kyle Van Reenen said a 35-year-old man was shot after travelling on the M4 highway.

“Reports from the scene suggest the two vehicles were travelling on the M4 highway when one collided into the other, leading to the driver of one of the vehicles following the other off the highway and onto Fairways Road where an altercation ensued, resulting in the shooting.”

Van Reenen said three shots were fired, one of which struck the man.

“Netcare911 transported the injured man to hospital while authorities arrested the shooter.”
