Cape Town – Armed robbers targeted a jewellery store in Claremont at the weekend for a second time in just five months.

A gang of four held up Trigg Jewellers around 11:30 on Sunday, said Western Cape police spokesperson FC van Wyk.

They then fled the shop in Cavendish Square with an undisclosed amount of jewellery.

Van Wyk said the group were still at large.

In September, witnesses reported hearing gunshots and a smoke bomb after a few men grabbed jewellery from the same shop.
