Cape Town  – The formal bail application of two men accused of murdering Kuils River mother, Zarah-Jane Hector, who was found dead nine days after being reported missing last month, will continue on Thursday.

The two suspects, Ronaldo van Rooyen, 34, and Tafiq Ibrahim, 26, appeared in the Blue Down Magistrate’s Court on April 6 on charges of murder, vehicle robbery and defeating the ends of justice.

Van Rooyen and Ibrahim were arrested shortly after Hector's body was discovered.

While the two appear to have no previous convictions, the State revealed Van Rooyen had since been charged with an unrelated armed robbery, allegedly committed with a different accomplice.

Hector disappeared on March 15 after she left the Oostenberg Lodge in Kuils River where she worked.

The BMW Z3 she was driving was later found in Observatory and her body was discovered on a farm in Groot Drakenstein nine days after her disappearance.
