Durban – A biker was killed early on Saturday after losing control of his bike and crashing into a wall, paramedic services said.

The incident took place on Stanger Street near Durban Central Police Station around 02:00, RescueCare spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said.

“Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the critically injured man lying on the roadway. They immediately began treating him with Advanced Life Support intervention, however, his injuries were too severe and he went into cardiac arrest.

“Paramedics tried for more than 30 minutes to resuscitate him, however, he passed away on the scene.”

Jamieson said police were on scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
