Johannesburg – A Nigerian man has been charged with dealing drugs at the Boksburg Flea Market after officers found him with illicit narcotics hidden in his underwear on Saturday. Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department spokesperson, Wilfred Kgasago, said officers had received a tip-off about the dealer and placed the man under surveillance. “The man was approached and arrested when drugs were found hidden in his underwear. Thirty-two bags of crystal methamphetamine and cat valued at R12 500 were retrieved from the suspect’s underwear. Cash amounting to R1 530, suspected to be proceeds from drug-dealing, was confiscated from the suspect,” he said. “The 32-year-old Nigerian national was detained at Boksburg North Police Station after charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances were registered. He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday,” he added.
