Cape Town - A 15-year-old boy escaped serious injury when his car flipped in Vaalpark, Sasolburg on Sunday.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on the scene on Paardeberg road, the car was lying on its roof and the young patient was sitting on the sidewalk next to the vehicle.

He was assessed and treated for moderate injuries and was taken to a MediClinic for further treatment.

Local authorities would investigate further.
