Cape Town - A 5-year-old boy who went missing from his Kalkfontein home in Cape Town two days ago has yet to be found, Western Cape police said on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut confirmed Okuhle Linganiso had disappeared on Sunday.

"We have reason to believe that Okuhle could be in the company of his biological father in the Langa area," he said.

It is not known what the boy had been wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Dessie Rechner, of The Pink Ladies Missing Children's Organisation, said while the father was a person of interest, it could not yet be confirmed that Okuhle was indeed with him.

"We just hope that he is not harmed," she said.

Anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts should phone Sergeant Andres Binedell on 021 900 2845 or The Pink Ladies hotline on 072 214 7439.
