Cape Town – Boys discovered a human skull in Butterworth that belonged to a man who went missing almost two years, Eastern Cape police said.

The children were playing in Zingqayi Village on Saturday when they made the grisly discovery, said Captain Jackson Manatha.

The boys then pointed out the skull to elders, who contacted the local police.

Manatha said Nkosinathi Ntshinga, 47, went missing in October 2014.

Relatives from Blue Sky village identified clothes found at the scene as his.

An inquest docket was opened for further investigation.
