Cape Town – A man was arrested at a flat in Kraaifontein after police found drugs stashed inside a DVD player, Western Cape police said on Friday.

Officers went to his building in Scottsdene on Thursday after receiving a tip-off that tik (methamphetamine) was being stored there, said Captain Frederick van Wyk.

They found over 200 bags of tik and 40 mandrax tablets in the electronic device.

Van Wyk said the drugs were handed in as evidence.

The 22-year-old man was expected to appear in the Kuils River Magistrate’s Court on Monday, on charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
