Cape Town - Alleged Century City serial killer Kahangayi Sedumedi is expected to appear in the Cape Town High Court on Wednesday.

Sedumedi is charged with three counts of murder and two of rape. This is in addition to three rape, two murder and two robbery charges that he already faces.

He was arrested in January 2015 after the naked bodies of six women were discovered lying face down with their hands tied behind their backs.

The victims, who were between the ages of 20 and 32, were all found in a field along Acre Road near the Century City train station.

The body of another woman was also found at the same site. Sedumedi was apparently linked to the murders through his DNA.
