DA can keep its Penny Sparrow and other oppressors, ANC says

Pietermaritzburg – Several DA councillors serving in the Msunduzi and Mkhanyakude Municipalities on Sunday resigned and have joined the ANC, provincial secretary Super Zuma said at the party’s KwaZulu-Natal manifesto launch.

ANC provincial chairperson Sihle Zikalala said, “They did not come here with demands of being councillors, they did not join to be councillors, they joined the party.

“The DA can keep it's Penny Sparrow and other oppressors. We have processed their memberships. We want to say that we will not burn the DA t-shirt, we will take the t-shirts back with respect.

“We do not agree with intolerance. We will take them back nicely to the DA and they can reuse them.”

President Jacob Zuma addressed more than 40 000 people at the Harry Gwala stadium earlier.
