Dead baby dumped in Joburg concrete bin

The body of a newborn baby was found inside a concrete dustbin in Barry Hertzog Avenue in Johannesburg on Thursday afternoon, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said a passer-by found the body in the concrete bin.

Paramedics on the scene could not find signs of life and the baby was declared dead on the scene.

Police are investigating.

Earlier this week, a dead foetus was found in a sewer in a Potchefstroom complex.
