Morebeng – The family of a 10-year-old girl who disappeared in Morebeng, Limpopo, has appealed to anyone who may have her to bring her home.

"Do us a favour and please bring her home. We need her here," Reneilwe Makomoto’s brother Sello Shoko said on Wednesday.

Reneilwe is the youngest child in the family. She was last seen around 14:00 on Tuesday afternoon, when she was playing with friends.

Shoko said his sister came home to eat lunch and then went out to play.

"You know kids, they just come to eat, then they play in the streets with the friends. We didn’t think that she would be missing," he said.

He said their distraught mother had come home around 19:00 on Tuesday evening and asked where Reneilwe was.

After they could not find her, local residents offered to help search for her. When they had not found her by 23:00, they opened a case at their local police station.

Shoko, who has three other siblings, described his baby sister as a kind and smart girl.

Police and residents were looking for her in Capricorn Park, Morebeng, about 64km south of Louis Trichardt.

Anyone who might know of her whereabouts can contact investigating officer, Warrant Officer Mokgolobotho, on 082 595 6193.
