Durban - A woman was badly wounded in a knife attack during a home invasion in Musgrave on Tuesday afternoon.

Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said that the woman, understood to be a domestic worker, is in a serious condition after she was attacked and stabbed repeatedly.

"At around 13:00 Rescue Care paramedics were called to an assault in a residence in Vause Road in Durban," he said.

"On arrival they found that a lady in her forties had been stabbed multiple times in a home invasion. Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised the lady on the scene before rushing her through to a Durban Hospital for the further care that she required," he added.
