EFF calls itself South Africa's last hope

2016-02-17 12:03

EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi calls his part the "last hope" for South Africa, echoing the words of leader Julius Malema. Citing economic history and macro-economic theory, Ndlozi argues the DA and ANC are scarcely different from one another. His party, he says, will introduce a new model of industrialisation, job creation, land reform and economic growth.WATCH

Cape Town - The Economic Freedom Fighters benches in the National Assembly remained empty on Wednesday on the second day of the State of the Nation Address debate.

This was after the party's leader Julius Malema on Tuesday said he would not debate a SONA delivered by an "illegitimate" president.

Malema delivered a scathing address on so-called errors in judgement made by Jacob Zuma as president and in his personal life.

“My Zupta, your leadership can be summed up into three things - the Guptas, Nkandla and Umshini Wami,” Malema said before dropping the proverbial mike and walking out of the National Assembly.

He was followed by his fellow EFF MPs.
