Pretoria - Former Hawks head Anwa Dramat and his co-accused are expected back in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Dramat, former Gauteng Hawks boss Shadrack Sibiya and Lesley Maluleke are facing charges of organised crime, kidnapping, violations of the Immigration Act and obstruction of justice, following the extradition of Zimbabweans.

They are argued that they acted in the performance of their duties and on behalf of the minister.

All three of them are out on bail of R5 000 each.

During their last court appearance in August, a warrant of arrest was issued for Dramat after he failed to arrive in court.

His defence attorney, Victor Nkhwashu, said at the time that Dramat lived in Cape Town and had not attended court in order to save on travel costs.
