Durban - Four men were rescued after a ski boat capsized near the Port of Richards Bay on Thursday.

NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon said a boat and a helicopter were deployed to aid in the rescue.

"A private boat Missile, that was in the area at the time, went to the assistance of the casualties from the capsized boat, who were all in the water and they rescued one of the four men who were clinging to the upturned hull of the capsized boat,” he said.

"On arrival at the scene, a sea rescue swimmer was deployed into the water from the helicopter to secure the remaining three men and they were all rescued aboard our sea rescue craft."

No one was injured.
