Bloemfontein – The case against two men who allegedly stabbed and killed a police constable was postponed in the Botshabelo Magistrate’s Court on Monday, the Hawks said.

The matter would be back in court on September 5, spokesperson S'fiso Nyakane said.

Sello Petlane, 32, and Earnest Kgate, 25 were arrested in the early hours of Friday morning.

They allegedly stabbed and killed Constable Johannes Putsoeli, 37, in Botshabelo, outside Bloemfontein in February.

Putsoeli was found in a field near Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium with a stab wound to his upper body.

He was allegedly robbed of his service pistol, cellphone, and wallet. Nyakane said they were still searching for other suspects.
