Free State lecturer in court over conspiracy to kill colleagues

Johannesburg – The bail application of a Free State lecturer who was arrested for conspiring to murder two of his colleagues has been postponed until December 2.

Christiaan Oberholzer, 31, appeared in the Welkom Magistrate's Court on Thursday for two counts of conspiracy to murder his colleagues at the university. 

Police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng said the investigation was currently at a sensitive stage and they could not divulge any more information on the case.

Thakeng said Oberholzer was arrested two weeks ago.
