Headless body found in Limpopo

Polokwane - Police in Limpopo are investigating a possible murder after the gruesome discovery of human remains in the Waterberg mountains on Wednesday.

Police said the headless body of unknown person was found on a mountain near the Mogalakwena River, outside Mahwelereng.

Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said they had received information from community members about human bones in the area.

The cause of death was still unknown.

In a second case, police have launched a manhunt for those involved in the killing of a man, whose body was found burnt in Moletji.

It is alleged that the deceased was taken to an isolated place in Moletji, outside Seshego. His body was found inside a burnt out Toyota Corolla on Tuesday evening.

Police are investigating both incidents.
