Johannesburg - Two men who threw a 6-year-old child out of a moving car during a hijacking were arrested on Monday, Ekurhuleni metro police said.

They were arrested on Allendale Road in Midrand around 11:00 and found in possession of firearms, spokesperson Clifford Shongwe said.

On Friday, they allegedly hijacked a red VW Polo Playa and threw a six-year-old child out of the window. They allegedly confessed to the crime.

Their arrest was a joint operation between EMPD, Tracker and SAPS.
