Durban - A Kingsburgh resident was brutally stabbed during an armed robbery in the early hours of Monday morning.
Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said a gang of three armed men had broken into the man’s home in Dimple Lea Road shortly after 03:00.
“They smashed a bedroom window to gain entry and proceeded to brutally attack the resident who they stabbed repeatedly in the back, shoulder and arm. The gang fled with laptops, a wallet, cash and a cellphone,” he said.
“Paramedics attended the scene to attend to the victim who sustained at least six stab wounds,” he said.
Jackson advised residents to consider installing external beams and an electric fence for an early warning system to reduce the element of surprise that criminals rely on when committing house robberies.
