More than eight years after she had met him on a beach in Uvongo, KwaZulu-Natal, Lee-Ann Willemse (33) hopes to make contact with Jaco again. She’s so desperate to find Jaco, whom she spoke to for a few hours on the beach, she’s placed three classified ads in the Afrikaans newspaper, Beeld. The third advertisement appeared on Saturday.“I’m looking for a Jaco, whom I met in December 2009 at Uvongo beach. Jaco is currently about 25-26 years old and has presumably worked for a panel beater,” reads the Afrikaans advertisement that the English-speaking Lee-Ann placed in the paper.Lee-Ann, who lives in Fairland, Johannesburg, says she and Jaco saw each other for a few hours on the beach before he “became shy and ran away”.She remembers he seemed like a friendly guy and he said he did woodwork. He had red hair and was of slender build. After the December holiday back then, they spoke telephonically on one occasion but she suspects he lost his cell phone because she couldn’t reach him after that. The only information she has at hand is that his mother’s name is Linda and his sister’s name is Marisa.“I’d so badly like to see him again and be friends,” says Lee-Ann.
