On Monday, Speaker Baleka Mbete announced that the motion of no confidence in Zuma will take place through a secret ballot.

Here is what some of the anti-Zuma marchers had to say.

"The President must step down! It's the reason we are all gathering here." - Fikile Adoro, Chairperson Ward 16 in Mbekweni, Paarl

"I'm here in support of the vote of no confidence in Zuma, he must go now!" - Desiree Visagie, councillor Ward II, City of Cape Town

"We support the truth. Zuma is not the truth." - Tessa Hanseh, ACDP

"I'm here to make sure everything will be better, and that our country has a better future. It must be saved. It is actually my first march, I enjoy it." - Sabine Voen Hase, citizen

"I'm here because they don't treat us equally. Nothing is straight in the country right now. With Mandela we had discipline. Now even the President can eat our money. We deserve a right person and we all must be equally free." - Ayanda Moko, UDM

"We are all here in support of democracy. We are here for the good of South Africa. Our colleagues from the ANC should find their conscious. The country is in crisis. It is on the verge to collapse. We appreciate (Speaker Baleka) Mbete for agreeing on the secret ballot. She raised pressure and put the country first. MPs can vote without fear. We are concerned about the future, we are here for the people." - Mkhuleko Hlengwa, IFP MP

"We are here for Zuma. Finish with Zuma! We want our country back! We want our country back. Zuma down." - Bwelwa Mancunga from APC
