Cape Town – Parliament will on Tuesday start interviewing candidates to fill the Inspector General of Intelligence position once again.

The post has been vacant since April last year when Faith Radebe's term of office ended.

Parliament's intelligence committee shortlisted 10 candidates for the contentious position, which they have been working to fill since 2015.

The committee will be looking for a candidate all parties can agree on, as the candidate needs the support of a two-thirds majority in the National Assembly.

The shortlisted candidates are:

• Clinton Davids
• Sethlomamaru Dintwe
• Jayashree Govender
• Smanga Jele
• Andile Kilifele
• Mapogoane Ntshabeleng
• Victor Ngidi
• Nhlakanipho Nkontwana
• Nyelisani Tshitereke
• Bruce Watson
